This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gibraltar.
• Oversee Maintenance & Reliability Initiatives
• Organize preventative, corrective, and responsive maintenance efforts across terminal facilities and equipment
• Perform mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure assets are safe, compliant, and functional
• Analyze equipment failures and breakdowns to implement effective corrective measures
• Monitor asset performance and pinpoint opportunities to enhance reliability and minimize downtime
• Administer and oversee the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Manage Contractors & Ensure Safe Work Systems
• Coordinate with third-party contractors engaged in maintenance and engineering operations
• Ensure adherence to all contractor control protocols, including inductions, permits, risk assessments, and RAMS
• Administer and manage Permit-to-Work systems across operational locations
• Evaluate contractor performance to guarantee work is executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Promote Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
• Prepare and review risk assessments and safe working procedures
• Support compliance with all corporate, environmental, regulatory, and terminal operational standards
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure safe and compliant operations
• Foster a proactive safety culture throughout the site
• Engage in emergency response and incident management activities as needed
• Investigate & Enhance
• Document and investigate equipment failures, incidents, and near misses
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventative measures
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within maintenance and operational processes
• Support Projects & Operational Excellence
• Develop technical specifications, maintenance scopes, cost estimates, and project documentation
• Initiate and manage work orders to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities
• Assist in terminal improvement projects and site development initiatives
• Collaborate with terminal operations teams to ensure safe and efficient daily operations
• Reporting & Budget Oversight
• Manage maintenance budgets within assigned authority
• Monitor maintenance expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
• Compile and report maintenance KPIs and operational performance metrics
• Maintain precise documentation, certifications, permits, maintenance records, and compliance files
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Strong comprehension of risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Experience managing maintenance activities in an industrial, energy, terminal, logistics, or operational setting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong knowledge of contractor management and Permit-to-Work procedures
• Preferred Experience: Background in a marine fuel terminal, oil terminal, refinery, tank storage facility, or similar heavy industrial environment
• Experience in conducting risk assessments
• Supervisory, coaching, or mentoring experience
• Proficient working knowledge of Spanish
• Experience in supporting operational or engineering improvement initiatives
