Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional software support and services to Ensono mainframe clients pertaining to CICS.

• Process customer service orders for mainframe z/OS clients related to CICS TS and OEM software products.

• Serve as the primary support for issues reported regarding CICS TS and associated OEM software products.

• Provide support on a 24/7/365 basis across various time zones.

• Install OEM software products following best practices and Ensono standards.

• Prepare customer partitions for routine operating system upgrades using proactive-action checklists.

• Assist with customer migration services and support project managers during transitions for newly acquired clients.

• Execute tasks related to clients’ disaster recovery plans in collaboration with Disaster Recovery Services.

• Oversee resources and schedules to ensure timely implementations.

• Adhere to ITSM change control protocols, which include implementing vendor fixes and upgrading, maintaining, enhancing, or adding options to relevant z/OS products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, or equivalent work experience.

• Over 5 years of experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform, including hands-on technical experience with installation and maintenance of products related to CICS TS and OEM product support.

• Comprehensive working knowledge of the functionalities and applications of CICS TS, along with installation and customization of CICS TS and related OEM products.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with IBM’s SMP/E.

• Strong analytical abilities and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and customization.

• Extensive knowledge of products utilized to monitor the performance of CICS TS regions.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently.

• Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and operate effectively under tight deadlines and high-pressure scenarios.

• Excellent communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and presentation capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate as part of a team as well as work autonomously.

• Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM local time.

• On-call duties, overtime, and scheduled weekend work are required.
