• Analyze and assist in the processing of Medicare claims within the Common Working File (CWF), identifying trends, root causes, and potential areas for system and process enhancement.
• Act as a liaison among CMS, MAC stakeholders, and technical teams to investigate issues, clarify requirements, and facilitate the resolution of production incidents.
• Assess and address complex data and system challenges, including executing data corrections through CWF HICR transactions to ensure precision and adherence to Medicare policies.
• Engage in early involvement calls for CMS change requests, offering operational insights, impact analysis, and feedback on proposed system improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and propose solutions to enhance system performance and achieve better business results.
• Assist in ticket triage and lifecycle management, ensuring thorough documentation, impact assessment, and communication with stakeholders.
• Create and analyze CMS monthly reporting metrics to uncover patterns, risks, and opportunities for operational enhancement.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to aid in ongoing system enhancements, maintain production stability, and align business processes.
• Provide support for 24×7 production processing cycles and special processing requirements for release-related utilities as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of Medicare experience (or a suitable combination of education and experience may be accepted).
• Practical experience in supporting mainframe operations and processing federal health claims.
• Strong command of TSO/ISPF, IBM utilities, and enterprise scheduling tools (TWS, TDWC).
• Familiarity with incident/ticket management tools and workflow processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic production environment.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a CMS Public Trust clearance.
• Additional Required Experience: TSO/ISPF/JCL, Service Now, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CMS (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services), Jira / Confluence / ALM, Micro-Focus Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and familiarity with z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux, or UNIX environments.
