This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee project management for software migration initiatives for clients utilizing the IBM Z platform.
β’ Collaborate with management and evaluate project proposals to establish objectives, timelines, budget constraints, methodologies for executing projects, and resource allocation.
β’ Assess the necessity for and deliver appropriate project management for planning and execution (including the creation of project plans).
β’ Provide reports on project activities, scope changes, challenges, and requirements to the leadership team, serving as a strategic resource to align implementers and decision-makers towards consistent business or mission-driven goals and objectives.
β’ Maintain communication with internal management and the customer regarding ongoing progress, milestones, and potential project risks.
β’ Evaluate and analyze processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and enhance efficiencies, then facilitate the implementation of these enhancements.
β’ Track, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of program best practices, ensuring ongoing process and quality improvements with a strong emphasis on client accounts.
β’ A minimum of five years of experience in technical project management - PMP or PRINCE2 certification required.
β’ Proven knowledge of operations and project management competencies.
β’ Experience in managing cross-functional technical teams, with overall accountability for scope, budget, timelines, and contractual deliverables, which includes utilizing techniques for planning, monitoring, change control, and risk management.
β’ Exceptional negotiation abilities with the capacity to organize competing priorities and adapt to changes effectively.
β’ Experience with IBM Z Mainframe.
β’ Familiarity with IBM Z software products and ISV product replacements with IBM offerings.
β’ Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
