Mainframe Programmer – ZOS, CICS, Web services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement REST APIs utilizing z/OS Connect

• Set up API mappings between mainframe applications and JSON services

• Assist with CICS-based API integrations and resolve issues

• Work collaboratively with development and architecture teams on mainframe modernization projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition and API development

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON payloads, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications

• Familiarity with integrating APIs with CICS, COBOL, Db2, and IMS applications

• Capability to comprehend COBOL copybooks and mainframe data structures for JSON mapping

• Awareness of z/OS concepts including RACF/SAF security, regions, SMF, and WLM

• Experience in API testing and troubleshooting
