Machine Vision Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation, setup, and configuration of sophisticated systems including machine vision tunnels, RFID systems, conveyors, and robotics.

• Offer expert recommendations on installation best practices, system calibration, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Mentor and educate junior technicians and customer teams on system operation and maintenance.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison during installations, ensuring effective communication and outstanding customer service.

• Perform site assessments to confirm infrastructure readiness (power, networking, environmental conditions).

• Identify and resolve complex technical issues during and post-installation.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and generate comprehensive service reports.

• Create and update installation guides, wiring diagrams, and calibration reports.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards (Lockout-Tagout, Hazmat, Industrial Safety).

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical four-year degree is preferred, although relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• At least 5 years of experience in field service or installation positions, with advanced knowledge in machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Basler, Matrox, Teledyne/FLIR).

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• A proactive and self-directed approach to work.

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
