This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready machine learning models, emphasizing computer vision applications.
• Create AI capabilities that can identify, track, and analyze construction progress using visual data.
• Conduct research, prototype, and implement solutions utilizing LLMs, multimodal AI models, and generative AI technologies.
• Assess the appropriateness of using commercial foundation models versus creating custom machine learning solutions.
• Design, construct, and maintain scalable ML pipelines that encompass data collection, labeling, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Acquire, clean, curate, and prepare high-quality datasets for model training.
• Develop and uphold MLOps infrastructure, which includes model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and AI specialists to embed machine learning capabilities into production applications.
• Enhance model accuracy, inference performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Keep updated with the latest machine learning methods, AI frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of commercial experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or AI Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying production machine learning systems.
• Strong background in developing computer vision models.
• Proficiency in end-to-end MLOps, which includes:
• Data collection and labeling
• Model training and evaluation
• Pipeline development
• CI/CD automation
• Model versioning
• Monitoring and optimization
• Familiarity with LLMs, multimodal AI models, and generative AI technologies.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Knowledge of deploying scalable inference infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams across New Zealand and Australia.
• Highly Desirable:
• Experience with TensorRT or similar inference optimization engines.
• Experience in developing Edge AI or Edge ML applications.
• Familiarity with .NET and C#.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and modern ML deployment pipelines.
• Experience in construction technology, geospatial imaging, drone imagery, or spatial data.
