• The M&A Integrations Engineer will report to the Senior Director of Infrastructure & Operations and will work closely with the Partner Integrations team and senior leadership.
• This position is responsible for leading integration and migration efforts for infrastructure, SaaS, and on-premises solutions in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
• The role necessitates regular travel, effective troubleshooting and decision-making, as well as clear communication across all levels, including with firm principals who may lack a technical background.
• Travel to acquired firm locations is required to evaluate infrastructure, conduct discovery, and facilitate integration activities aligned with Mercer Advisors' cloud-only approach.
• Oversee the decommissioning of on-premises equipment and the migration of workloads, emails, documents, and SaaS applications to Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for the Partner Integration team, acquired firm personnel, and senior leadership throughout each integration process.
• Implement and support SaaS applications, Azure IaaS services, network infrastructure, video conferencing, and ISP connectivity at acquired sites.
• Manage DNS and domain migrations from the planning phase through to the cutover.
• Serve as the second-level escalation point for the Service Desk and assist the team in becoming proficient in supporting newly integrated environments.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and ensure consistent configurations across environments.
• Keep documentation updated regarding SOPs, project statuses, and completed work.
• Adaptability is essential as priorities may shift around firm closure and migration timelines.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in systems engineering is required.
• Strong preference for experience with M&A integrations or integrating newly acquired environments into existing systems; managed service provider experience is also highly regarded.
• Required knowledge of: Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), AADDS, Microsoft Intune.
• Required knowledge of: Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Required experience with: Windows 10/11 and Windows Server versions 2016–2022.
• Required expertise in DNS, domain registration, and domain migration.
• Required networking skills: LAN/WAN, switching, routing, and Meraki.
• Preferred skills in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Preferred experience with Box content management.
• Preferred knowledge in video-conferencing deployment (e.g., Zoom, Teams Rooms, or equivalent).
• Preferred familiarity with ISP procurement and circuit coordination.
• Preferred certifications include: CompTIA Network+ / Security+, MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or higher, MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, 10961-C: Automating Administration with Windows PowerShell.
