Looker Engineer, BI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Engage in various projects to assist Astrafy customers in maximizing their data utilization.

• Partner with stakeholders to grasp the business requirements.

• Challenge and enhance the specifications to ensure they align with business goals.

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the client's database to evaluate the accessible data.

• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to confirm KPIs.

• Establish visualizations and the overall dashboard layout in Looker (utilizing Miro or Figma).

• Construct or refine the data model to facilitate Looker’s data exploration (employing BigQuery and dbt).

• Create LookML models for data transformation and structuring.

• Ensure users have the flexibility to explore custom reports.

• Prioritize usability and clear data presentation.

• Utilize AI-driven solutions to improve user experience.

• Author articles to disseminate expertise, insights, and innovations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with enterprise-level BI tools (Looker, Data Studio) is essential.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL is necessary.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Function, etc.) is required.

• Solid understanding of dbt is important.

• Good grasp of end-to-end pipeline design and implementation (ETL) is expected.

• Experience with dbt and Git is mandatory.

• Strong data visualization capabilities to effectively communicate information and results.

• Meticulous attention to detail and quality with exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• You possess an analytics and solution-oriented approach.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both with colleagues and external stakeholders.

• Fluency in English and French is required.
