Looker Engineer / BI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gain insights into business requirements.

• Challenge and refine the specifications to ensure they align with business goals.

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the client’s database to evaluate the available data.

• Host workshops with stakeholders to confirm KPIs.

• Define visualizations and the overall structure of dashboards in Looker (utilizing Miro or Figma).

• Build or enhance the data model to facilitate data exploration in Looker (using BigQuery and dbt).

• Develop LookML models for data transformation and structuring.

• Ensure users have the flexibility to explore customized reports.

• Emphasize usability and clear data presentation.

• Utilize AI-driven solutions to improve the user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with enterprise-grade BI tools is essential (Looker, Data Studio).

• Advanced proficiency in SQL is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Function, etc.) is required.

• Solid understanding of dbt.

• Good comprehension of end-to-end pipeline design and implementation (ETL).

• Experience with dbt and Git is essential.

• Strong data visualization capabilities to effectively communicate information and results.

• Meticulous attention to detail and quality combined with excellent problem-solving skills.

• An analytical and solution-oriented mindset.

• Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and external stakeholders.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a notable advantage and will set you apart from other candidates.
