This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with all members of the LTC resident care team, including physicians, physician-extenders (NP/PA), consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacists, and nursing facility leadership/staff.
• Advocate for Acadia products by providing compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education customized to meet customer needs.
• Utilize advanced selling techniques to identify and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and objections.
• Acquire extensive knowledge of customers, practices, and local/regional market trends; leverage this understanding in business planning.
• Develop and implement quarterly territory business/action plans, utilizing data to optimize reach, frequency, and impact while adhering to budget constraints.
• Offer guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC-specific profitability aspects; serve as a liaison between customers and Acadia for access-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with sales management, territory teammates, and cross-functional partners (e.g., managed markets, marketing, operations, training) to fulfill business requirements.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training sessions; contribute to both regional and national initiatives.
• Mentor and train new/junior Sales Specialists; share field insights and engage in cross-functional projects.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, company policies, and LTC regulations affecting medication use and resident care.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; a background in life sciences is preferred.
• Experience:
• Sales Specialist: A minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector; neuroscience experience is preferred.
• Senior Specialist: At least 5 years of healthcare sales experience (2+ years in complex/account-based selling).
• Executive Specialist: A minimum of 12 years in healthcare sales (3+ years in complex/account-based selling).
• Advanced selling and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence a diverse range of HCP audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and role-model capabilities at a regional level.
• Strong business acumen, organizational skills, and self-motivation with a business ownership mindset.
• Must reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and, if necessary, in reasonable proximity to a major airport.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; must be able to drive a company vehicle daily and travel independently by air. Travel may be up to 80%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours work.
• Must fulfill vaccination and facility access requirements for customer visits and event participation.
