This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist Sysco's Site and Inbound Supply Chain Organization in achieving its goals by managing the transportation of products from supplier locations to Sysco facilities.
• Enhance inbound logistics programs to decrease freight costs and increase freight profitability.
• Utilize the Transportation Management System to plan, optimize, and assign freight to contracted carriers within 24 hours of creating a purchase order.
• Examine loads and purchase orders for accurate dates, lead times, and carrier assignments.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Inventory Management, Operations, and third-party carriers to address inbound logistics freight challenges.
• Resolve recalled or rejected tenders within two business hours.
• Identify trends and mitigate excess costs and service degradation.
• Evaluate suppliers for potential CPU conversions.
• Negotiate spot rates with carrier partners when required.
• Review, authorize, and address accessorial charges and WIP.
• Execute daily operations in Inbound Logistics, Claim Resolution, or Inbound Command Center functions.
• Investigate claims related to overages, shortages, and damages, determining responsible parties.
• Prepare, file, monitor, and finalize carrier claims.
• Ensure the integrity of data and records.
• Analyze and optimize inbound capacity settings, monitor inbound demand against dock capacity, and resolve operational issues.
• Provide backup support to team members, including the RDC Capacity Planner.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of logistics/supply chain experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with US DOT Regulations, Hours of Service, Weight Limitations, and US Geography.
• Knowledge of freight claim laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and details with precision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without future employment sponsorship.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
