Logistics Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead a team that oversees transportation operations within a network of third-party supplier partners in trucking and rail.

• Foster customer engagement and enhance profitability across various business lines.

• Monitor and refine transportation network processes and procedures, establishing programs aimed at boosting team performance.

• Provide guidance and expertise on cost-effective transportation service options.

• Formulate and execute policies; negotiate rates; onboard suppliers and manage their performance.

• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, internal teams, and partners to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.

• Engage with customers to promote transportation services and support business development and sales efforts to maximize material volume sold.

• Coordinate with operational staff at source plants regarding transportation operations, plant outages, material quality issues, and personnel concerns.

• Continuously enhance and implement essential business processes within the department.

• Organize and schedule resources; evaluate work for quality, timeliness, and control measures.

• Oversee departmental personnel requirements, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance assessments.

• Contribute to decisions regarding terminations, compensation, and promotions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or, alternatively, a high school diploma or GED (accredited) accompanied by four years of relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of seven years of pertinent work experience in addition to the educational qualifications.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based.

• Possess a valid driver's license.

• Hold a valid in-state driver's license.

• Must reside and work in the U.S.

• Willingness to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business travel.
