This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
• Oversee all operations concerning the receipt, storage, warehousing, dispatch, and distribution of goods to enhance the delivery of high-quality humanitarian response programs for the underprivileged and vulnerable populations in Cuba.
• Collaborate with direct reports and program leads to conduct pipeline analyses, align the supply of goods with program requirements, and ensure the quality and efficiency of processes in accordance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local inventory accountability standards.
• Manage the assessment of logistics service needs, desired specifications, and delivery timelines, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
• Proactively identify and address potential or actual issues within the supply chain that could impact the short-term or long-term availability of goods.
• Effectively lead and supervise talent within the team.
• Manage team dynamics and promote staff well-being.
• Provide coaching, develop strategically tailored individual development plans, and conduct performance management for direct reports.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance to guarantee sufficient capacity for supporting high-quality programming.
• Identify and evaluate transportation resources, storage facilities, leasing options, and other logistics services.
• Maintain and manage relationships with port operations, freight forwarders, customs clearing agents, and key suppliers.
• Participate in coordination meetings to ensure effective planning and collaboration in supply chain management activities.
• Plan and oversee the supply chain process from customs clearance through to receipt, transport, storage, and dispatch to distribution.
• Ensure proper execution of logistics by collaborating with operations and program staff and partners to verify compliance with shipping and distribution plans.
• Work alongside program and partner staff to facilitate efficient product movement.
• Provide guidance and support to partner staff handling logistics at the national and/or diocesan levels.
• Ensure the preparation of accurate and comprehensive product movement reports of high quality.
• Supervise and ensure that all inventory movements (receipts, transfers, dispatches, and adjustments) are recorded accurately in the Insight system, confirming adherence to established guidelines, data quality standards, and documentation requirements.
• Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning. Foster a safe space for the exchange of ideas, solutions, and challenges, with the ability to quickly identify, analyze, and respond to minor issues.
• Provide capacity-building guidance to staff and partners, promoting cross-departmental learning.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field is required.
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in supply chain/logistics management with increasing responsibility.
• A Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in relief supply chain management is preferred.
• Professional certification(s) in Supply Chain is advantageous.
• Familiarity with commodity tracking systems is a plus.
• Logistics management experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is highly desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Knowledge and experience in transportation, inventory management, and distribution are essential.
• Experience in staff management and skills that foster a learning environment, including designing and facilitating training.
• Understanding of national and international import/export laws and common customs regulations.
• Strong skills in planning, coordination, prioritization, and time management.
• Excellent analytical abilities with the capacity to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
• Ethical behavior in line with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics.
• Proactive, resourceful, solution-oriented, and results-focused.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%.
