Logistics, Import Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Prepare and manage essential import documentation, such as purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs clearance forms.

• Engage with international suppliers to secure necessary documentation, including certificates of origin and shipping instructions.

• Work in conjunction with customs brokers or agents to ensure seamless customs clearance.

• Coordinate the transportation of goods from ports to specified locations in partnership with freight forwarders.

• Update inventory records promptly upon the arrival of shipments.

• Remain informed about import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.

• Resolve issues such as customs delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in documentation.

• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, finance, and supply chain teams to provide updates regarding shipment statuses.

• Accurately enter import-related data into company systems and generate reports on import volumes, costs, and compliance metrics for management review.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred.

• 2-3 years of experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain management.

• Knowledge of import/export documentation, customs regulations, tariffs, and international shipping procedures.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with international suppliers and internal teams.
