Logistics Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee domestic export initiatives and international import operations.

• Take ownership of the complete process for international shipments, from export documentation and carrier bookings to customs clearance and final delivery.

• Generate accurate and thorough export documentation for suppliers and warehouses.

• Actively monitor export shipments and address any issues in collaboration with shippers and Project Managers.

• Research the receiving requirements of the destination country and confirm labeling requirements.

• Address challenges related to transportation, logistics systems, import/export, and customer service.

• Ensure that import/export processes adhere to regulatory and legal standards.

• Manage international shipments while delivering effective solutions tailored to client needs.

• Organize bookings with airlines, ocean carriers, co-loaders, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate the arrival of international shipments, encompassing freight forwarder booking, customs clearance, broker communication, and scheduling of final delivery.

• Keep precise HTS classification records and ensure appropriate tariff treatment for imported products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export operations.

• Proficient knowledge of HTS classification and associated requirements.

• Familiarity with EORI, CERS, and U.S. import/export regulations.

• Strong understanding of trucking and logistics methodologies, terminology, and practices.

• Experience with international shipping protocols, including import/export regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Effective communication skills via phone and email.

• Ability to identify when action is needed and execute necessary measures promptly.

• Capable of working independently and managing multiple shipments and priorities concurrently.
