Localization Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Tool Management: responsible for overseeing the localization infrastructure (primarily MemoQ, Lilt, WPML, and content connectors).

• Team Support: assist in-house Localization Specialists by resolving issues, aiding in the onboarding of new team members, automating localization processes, and promoting best practices in localization.

• Resource Management: enhance resource management maturity (including TMs, TBs, import filters, file preparation processes, etc.) and support by optimizing inefficient, manual processes.

• Testing & Troubleshooting: aid the team in overcoming challenges and designing more efficient workflows.

• Asset Production: assist the team in navigating localization hurdles in technically demanding areas such as websites, audio, video, AI, and third-party software.

• Drive Innovation: identify and implement appropriate tools for tasks and help us tackle technical challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role supporting localization teams (either vendor-side or in-house).

• Demonstrated expertise with TMS and CAT tools.

• Familiarity with common localization challenges, root cause analysis, managing various file formats, automating localization processes, and refining localization resources.

• Proficient in standard file formats such as .xliff, .tmx, .json, .csv, and html/xml.

• Prior experience with Regular Expressions.

• Comprehensive understanding of typical localization challenges, workflows, and best practices.

• Proficiency in multiple languages, with German being a preferred language.
