This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and implement the local marketing strategy for the designated market, transforming national brand objectives into culturally relevant and impactful local initiatives.
• Strategize, oversee, and enhance field marketing, sampling, and experiential activations during significant moments in local culture (such as events, campuses, retail, fitness, nightlife, and community).
• Lead, mentor, and manage Field Marketing Managers and Brand Ambassadors, ensuring exemplary execution, professionalism, and representation of the brand.
• Establish and nurture local partnerships with retailers, gyms, colleges, events, talent, athletes, and influencers to enhance awareness and encourage trial.
• Act as the local market authority and brand spokesperson, offering insights into culture, trends, competitors, and region-specific opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, DSD partners, and Retail Marketing to support product launches, promotions, and in-store execution aimed at driving velocity.
• Oversee budget management, resource distribution, and vendor coordination to optimize impact and efficiency.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (events executed, samples distributed, impressions, household penetration indicators, velocity drivers).
• Recognize successful local strategies and adjust or pivot approaches to enhance performance and disseminate best practices across markets.
• Ensure that all activations and partnerships align with brand standards, compliance requirements, and operational soundness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, PR, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or event planning.
• Experience collaborating with Beverage DSDs and/or distribution partners.
• Proven leadership capabilities.
• Experience in managing and developing field or local marketing teams (including hiring, coaching, and performance management).
• Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Retail Marketing, Influencer/Talent, and Brand teams.
• Strong experience in budget management, including forecasting, expenditure tracking, and ROI optimization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
