Loan Servicing Specialist – Property Preservation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct initial, follow-up, and specialized inspections to evaluate property conditions and determine preservation requirements.

• Ensure that vacant properties are winterized, secured, and maintained, including lawn care, debris removal, repairs, and pool security.

• Review bids, manage contractors, and supervise preservation activities to guarantee timely and cost-effective completion in accordance with investor guidelines.

• Adhere strictly to regulatory requirements as well as investor and insurer guidelines.

• Keep precise records of inspections, preservation efforts, expenses, and communications.

• Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to address issues and ensure properties are maintained to standards.

• Monitor for potential risks such as code violations, hazard claims, and changes in occupancy, addressing issues proactively to prevent regulatory infractions and financial losses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in property preservation, asset management, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, investor and insurer guidelines, and industry standards for property preservation.

• Proficiency in property management software (e.g., MSP, LoanSphere, Yardi, FHA Connection), Microsoft Office, and digital documentation tools.

• Experience working with vendors and contractors in a property preservation environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including coaching, motivating, and collaborating effectively with teams.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with the capability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently under pressure to meet deadlines.
