Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service by gathering essential documentation for loan underwriting.

• Request third-party documents through direct communication with clients and/or Loan Officers.

• Provide necessary disclosures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Assess and analyze borrowers’ credit, employment, income, and assets prior to underwriting.

• Compile comprehensive loan packages for the underwriting process.

• Confirm required documentation and complete loan checklists accurately.

• Ensure application completeness and accuracy while identifying potential underwriting concerns.

• Prepare loan approval summaries, Forms 1008 and 1003, and verify the accuracy of documents.

• Coordinate with Loan Originators, clients, and Underwriters to acquire required documentation.

• Review loans to ensure compliance with mortgage-related regulations and prepare necessary disclosures.

• Secure property surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.

• Validate vendor orders, invoices, and applicant electronic files.

• Manage the loan pipeline and submit reports within designated turnaround times.

• Assist in the loan setup process.

• Record loan-related communications in the conversation log.

• Mentor and supervise new Loan Processors and other processing personnel.

• Support closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing teams in resolving investor suspense items.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Proficient in Encompass.

• Familiarity with RESPA regulations and a general understanding of mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, as well as loan documents is preferred.

• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows operating systems.

• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Outstanding prioritization and time management abilities.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when required.
