Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service by gathering the necessary documentation for loan underwriting.

• Request third-party documentation by liaising directly with the customer and/or Loan Officer.

• Conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of the borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets prior to submission to underwriting.

• Compile the complete loan package in the correct order for underwriting purposes.

• Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) within the file.

• Complete the mandatory loan checklist.

• Prepare an accurate loan approval summary, along with Forms 1008 and 1003.

• Assess loans for adherence to mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.).

• Record all communications related to the loan application in the conversation log.

• Train and supervise new Loan Processors.

• Confirm that vendor orders are fulfilled and manage pipeline reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Familiarity with Encompass software.

• Understanding of RESPA regulations and a general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations.

• Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows operating systems.

• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent skills in prioritization and time management.
