Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Acquire mortgage leads.

• Establish and nurture business relationships with real estate agents and other sources of leads.

• Evaluate potential loan markets and create referral networks to identify loan prospects.

• Promote CCM products and services to both individuals and companies.

• Meet with applicants to collect loan application information and address any process-related inquiries.

• Assess applicants’ financial conditions, credit scores, and property evaluations to determine loan viability.

• Clarify loan types, credit options, and service terms for clients.

• Generate comprehensive loan applications along with necessary documentation.

• Inform applicants of additional requirements and enhance applications and documentation.

• Respond to customer inquiries and address requests.

• Manage and resolve customer complaints.

• Maintain communication with real estate agents or referral sources.

• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to address mortgage application issues.

• Keep up-to-date with job knowledge through education, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.

• Engage in mortgage sales activities, including closings, open houses, CCM seminars/trainings, and other lead-generating events.

⛳️ Requirements

• NMLS license is mandatory under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.

• Familiarity with retail product philosophy, policies, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems.

• Experience in proactively seeking new business opportunities.

• Encompass experience is preferred.

• Understanding of mortgage products and programs.

• Strong analytical skills to assess credit requests and identify market trends.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

• Proficient in standard software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
