Loan Officer Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support in evaluating mortgage loan applications and their documentation, involving tasks such as phone and computer work, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, and sending documents overnight.

• Assess mortgage loan disclosure packages and ensure they are delivered to the borrower.

• Generate rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages for distribution to the borrower.

• Examine documents and complete loan files, aiming to identify issues by pointing out deficiencies, and subsequently notify the mortgage loan officer and/or loan processor.

• Clarify or correct information and gather additional details as needed through phone calls, emails, etc.

• Provide general clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors as required.

• Collaborate with management to offer assistance in various stages and areas of lending and processing as necessary.

• Help manage a pipeline that includes conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, as well as 203K and reverse mortgage products.

• Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to borrowers and confirm proof of receipt.

• Monitor outstanding items on all loan files and follow up with customers to guarantee the timely collection of necessary documentation.

• Ensure timely loan closings by coordinating directly with the Title Company and the customer to arrange schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or a comparable qualification.

• At least 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry, including customer interaction.

• Previous experience in sales support is preferred.

• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.

• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.

• Strong skills in prioritization and time management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
