Loan Officer Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Assist mortgage loan officers in their everyday responsibilities to enhance loan production rates.

• Collaborate directly with clients, loan officers, and processors to ensure a favorable customer experience and facilitate prompt loan closings.

• Evaluate mortgage loan applications and documentation, which includes tasks such as phone and computer work, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, and sending documents overnight.

• Examine mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver them to borrowers.

• Prepare rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages for borrowers.

• Assess documents and complete loan files, identify issues, and inform mortgage loan officers and/or processors.

• Clarify or rectify information and gather additional details through phone and email communication.

• Provide general clerical and telephone support to loan officers and processors.

• Assist management across various stages and aspects of lending and processing.

• Help manage a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203K, and reverse mortgage loans.

• Deliver appraisals and property valuations to borrowers and confirm receipt.

• Monitor outstanding items on loan files and follow up with clients to acquire necessary documentation.

• Ensure timely loan closings by coordinating with the Title Company and customers to schedule appointments.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent qualification.

• At least 1 year of mortgage-related experience, with a focus on customer interaction.

• Prior experience in sales support is preferred.

• Experience with Salesforce is preferred.

• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.

• Exceptional prioritization and time management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
