
LOA Specialist β Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.
β’ Oversee intricate and escalated leave of absence cases, which include FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, STD, LTD, state-mandated leaves, military leave, caregiver leave, domestic partner leave, and parental leave.
β’ Facilitate the ADA interactive process: assess restrictions, investigate accommodation possibilities, and document each procedure.
β’ Organize stay-at-work and return-to-work accommodations, such as modified schedules, travel adjustments, job restructuring, and necessary equipment.
β’ Address multi-state inquiries regarding employee eligibility.
β’ Ensure that claims, compensation, and job protection are consistent with policy and legal requirements.
β’ Collaborate with HR Business Partners and managers to assist them in navigating leave processes.
β’ Report systematic issues, discrepancies, or compliance risks to the Leave Program Manager, along with documented findings.
β’ Over 4 years of experience in Leave of Absence administration, particularly in complex case management.
β’ In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, STD/LTD, and multi-state paid leave regulations.
β’ Proven experience in supporting the ADA interactive process and coordinating workplace accommodations.
β’ Experience in managing daily relationships with LOA vendors.
β’ Workday HRIS experience is preferred.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of clearly explaining intricate leave rules to employees and managers.
β’ Proficient in working independently in a fast-paced, asynchronous environment.
