Litigation Claims Adjuster – Complex

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve intricate claims within designated authority limits.

• Analyze policy coverage and liability to ascertain suitable claim resolutions.

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce potential financial risk exposure.

• Collaborate with legal advisors, underwriters, and external service providers.

• Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support claim decisions.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.

• Manage communications with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders throughout the claims process.

• Participate in audits and quality control assessments.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving processes within the claims department.

• Mentor and provide support to less experienced team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluency in the English language is essential.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing claims, ideally in specialty or complex lines.

• Proven expertise in handling complex or high-risk claims situations.

• Experience collaborating with brokers, legal experts, and regulatory bodies.

• Must possess and maintain all necessary licenses in U.S. states where licensing is required to fulfill job responsibilities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in managing litigated commercial auto/trucking claims.

• Experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims.

• Advanced skills in claims analysis and adjudication methods.

• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and operations within the transportation industry.

• Strong negotiation and settlement capabilities.

• Proficiency in policy interpretation, risk evaluation, and adherence to regulatory compliance.

• Familiarity with claims management systems and relevant technology platforms.
