Linux Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage, oversee, and maintain both Linux and Windows servers and their services.

• Conduct regular updates, apply patches, and perform backups on systems.

• Establish and manage security configurations and access controls for systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems across different operating systems.

• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and articles for the knowledge base.

• Provide support for virtualization platforms (such as VMware and Hyper-V) and cloud services (including AWS and Azure).

• Automate repetitive tasks utilizing scripts (like Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

• Aid in optimizing system performance, planning for disaster recovery, and conducting system audits.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to facilitate application deployments and infrastructure initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience managing both Linux and Windows systems.

• Strong skills in system tools, command-line utilities, and various scripting languages.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.

• Knowledge of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat.

• Comprehensive understanding of networking basics and security practices for systems.

• Experience with monitoring solutions like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with strong communication skills.
