This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

• Install, configure, and maintain servers based on Linux/Unix in both physical and virtual environments.

• Monitor the health of systems, identify performance issues, and resolve infrastructure challenges.

• Implement and uphold security hardening protocols.

• Manage access and permissions for users.

• Conduct timely patching and address vulnerabilities.

• Execute regular backup procedures.

• Maintain and test processes for disaster recovery.

• Participate in on-call support for critical business infrastructure as needed.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize systems and improve infrastructure.

• Take ownership of the stability, security, and performance of essential systems.

• 3–5 years of practical experience managing enterprise-level Linux/Unix environments.

• Profound knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Experience with tuning the kernel.

• Expertise in file system management, including LVM and RAID.

• Advanced proficiency in command-line operations.

• Essential hands-on experience with Puppet.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP/email services, NTP, IP routing, and/or OS-level firewall configuration.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.

• Familiarity with Git and GitFlow methodologies.

• Capability to troubleshoot intricate infrastructure issues.

• Nice to have: Experience with GCP infrastructure.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Terraform.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Ansible.

• Nice to have: Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm.
