This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.
β’ Provide expertise in linguistics and childhood language development for French AAC content.
β’ Assist in the creation of a lexical database that categorizes words based on their part of speech and morphological structure.
β’ Aid in the assessment and selection of current lexical data sources.
β’ Examine lexical data and rectify any inaccuracies.
β’ Work in tandem with software developers and AAC content specialists to specify French-targeted software features and anticipated behaviors.
β’ Evaluate software products and AAC implementations to guarantee that French vocabulary, grammar, and syntax meet the communication requirements of children.
β’ Participate in two weekly collaborative meetings lasting between 30 to 60 minutes.
β’ Complete other project tasks autonomously and with self-direction.
β’ Native French speaker.
β’ Proficient in English.
β’ Educational background in linguistics and childhood language development.
β’ Strong grasp of French grammatical structures and morphology.
β’ Capability to articulate intricate linguistic concepts to English-speaking developers.
β’ Extensive knowledge of research pertaining to language development and vocabulary acquisition in French for typically developing children.
β’ Conceptual familiarity with AAC principles and the representation of vocabulary, grammar, and language development within AAC systems.
β’ Preference for experience in AAC vocabulary organization, content design, or communication support tools for children.
β’ Preferred experience in reviewing lexical resources, language data, or language-focused software products.
β’ Availability for up to 20 hours weekly, depending on the project's phase.
β’ Ability to function as an independent contractor and handle personal tax obligations.
