Linguist – Tamil, Telugu, Hindi

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and evaluate linguistic rubrics, taxonomies, and annotation guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to create project-specific linguistic standards and documentation.

• Perform linguistic reviews, quality assurance, and error analysis to guarantee high-quality deliverables.

• Assist in projects related to ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), TTS (Text-to-Speech), transcription, speech annotation, and NLP.

• Offer linguistic expertise to enhance annotation quality and improve AI model performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or a related discipline.

• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language along with excellent English communication skills.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in AI language data, linguistic annotation, localization, or speech technology projects.

• Demonstrated experience in developing annotation guidelines, rubric/tag creation, taxonomy design, and linguistic quality frameworks.

• Experience collaborating directly with clients to develop and evaluate linguistic guidelines.

• Comprehensive understanding of ASR, TTS, transcription, speech annotation, and NLP workflows.
