LIMS Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main scientific and technical liaison for clients during implementation projects.

• Leverage technical and domain knowledge to comprehend client requirements and convert them into solution designs, software specifications, and implementation strategies.

• Generate scope estimates and/or feature development requests for the Implementation teams.

• Configure LIMS to align with user specifications.

• Develop test plans and conduct testing to verify that the configured system satisfies client requirements.

• Oversee project coordination, ensuring that timelines, deliverables, and expectations are effectively communicated and achieved.

• Produce customer-facing documentation and offer training to facilitate user adoption.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement by sharing customer feedback and influencing product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field), with practical lab or LIMS experience.

• Knowledge of configuring scientific software or laboratory workflows, including scripting languages (e.g., Python), JSON, and SQL for data management.

• Understanding of analytical workflows, especially in Quality testing.

• Demonstrated ability to engage directly with customers, translating technical and domain-specific requirements into viable software solutions.

• Exceptional organizational skills with experience in coordinating tasks and timelines across various teams.

• Clear and confident communicator capable of educating, supporting, and establishing trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Quick learner with a solutions-driven approach and keen attention to detail.

• Experience in implementing LIMS, LES, ELNs, or similar lab informatics platforms.

• Prior experience in a professional services, consulting, or project-driven customer role.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies and Agile teams.
