Lighting Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assess the lighting needs for each area, ensuring they align with client expectations, budget constraints, and project objectives.

• Create lighting designs that harmonize functionality (e.g., task lighting) with visual appeal.

• Choose luminaires, drivers, and lighting products based on performance, efficiency, costs, and project specifications.

• Incorporate energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness into all design choices.

• Ensure that designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.

• Calculate suitable lighting levels (lux, lumen output) for various environments.

• Optimize the arrangement and types of lighting to reduce glare, shadows, and visual discomfort.

• Utilize Relux to generate 3D room models, lighting simulations, and visual representations.

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure precise execution of lighting designs.

• Present design concepts and proposed solutions clearly and effectively.

• Implement sustainable options, including LED systems, smart lighting controls, and products that integrate acoustic and lighting features.

• Report directly to the Consultancy Services Team Lead.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related discipline.

• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in lighting design or consulting.

• Experience in lighting consultation and design is beneficial; familiarity with Relux is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey design concepts and conduct client presentations.

• Strong organizational abilities for managing project timelines across multiple assignments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of lighting technologies, products, and industry best practices.
