Lifting Coordinator – HSE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create detailed lift plans for a variety of lifting activities.

• Develop risk assessments and method statements related to lifting for outage and maintenance tasks.

• Choose suitable lifting equipment, cranes, and accessories.

• Offer technical advice on lifting equipment and tooling needs provided by customers.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and onsite teams to collect essential information.

• Keep precise lifting documentation and records.

• Assist in the creation and ongoing enhancement of lifting procedures.

• Lead and oversee all lifting operations during outages.

• Provide leadership and guidance to crane operators, lift supervisors, riggers, and all team members involved in lifting tasks.

• Ensure adherence to company protocols and health and safety regulations.

• Halt lifting operations when unsafe conditions are detected.

• Serve as the main contact for lifting operations on the site.

• Modify lifting plans in response to evolving site conditions.

• Aid in the investigation of lifting incidents and near misses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) qualification, such as CPCS A61 Appointed Person, AP62 Crane/Lifting Operations Supervisor, or ECITB Appointed Person – Moving Loads.

• NEBOSH National Certificate (or currently pursuing it).

• At least 5–7 years of experience in lifting operations.

• Previous experience in a Safety Advisor position is a plus.

• In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, LOLER, PUWER, and safe work systems for lifting operations.

• Proven experience in developing lift plans, lifting risk assessments, and method statements.

• Familiarity with lifting planning software or CAD is beneficial.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
