This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the Braze instance from start to finish: including Canvas architecture, campaign taxonomy, event tracking schema, and maintaining data hygiene.
• Create and develop advanced Canvas flows utilizing branching logic, Liquid personalization, and dynamic content to ensure the right message reaches the audience at the right time.
• Design and sustain the event taxonomy and custom attribute framework that facilitates segmentation and triggering across all messaging.
• Oversee the integration of Segment CDP with Braze, guaranteeing a smooth data flow, accurate user profiles, and timely event piping.
• Manage email and SMS deliverability aspects: including IP warming strategies, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), monitoring sender reputation, and optimizing inbox placement.
• Assess and implement newly available Braze features and capabilities to keep Maximus at the forefront of the platform.
• Strategize, build, and implement the email and SMS marketing calendar, which encompasses promotional campaigns, product launches, educational content, and seasonal initiatives.
• Create and oversee segmentation strategies that reach the appropriate audiences with relevant offers at the right frequency.
• Construct and refine prospect nurture sequences that effectively convert leads into clients.
• Execute cross-sell and upsell campaigns throughout the Maximus product suite (which includes testosterone protocols, GLP-1 weight loss, peptides, Building Blocks supplements, and Oxytocin Calming Cream).
• Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, send times, content formats, CTAs, and cadence to consistently enhance engagement and conversion metrics.
• Take charge of all client-facing operational messaging: onboarding sequences, prescription notifications, refill reminders, lab result communications, protocol change alerts, and billing notifications.
• Design and refine the post-purchase onboarding experience to minimize early churn and expedite time-to-value.
• Develop re-engagement and win-back campaigns for inactive clients, collaborating with Product and Customer Success teams to identify churn drivers.
• Ensure that every transactional message adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements while maintaining brand voice and fostering engagement.
• Create feedback loops between lifecycle messaging performance and product/clinical teams to enhance the overall client experience.
• Develop and sustain a segmentation framework that takes into account client lifecycle stage, product usage, engagement behavior, and clinical protocol.
• Utilize Liquid logic and dynamic content to personalize messaging at scale across all channels.
• Advocate for suppression logic and frequency capping to safeguard client experience and deliverability.
• Collaborate with Data/Analytics to create predictive segments (churn risk, upsell propensity, reorder timing) that initiate automated interventions.
• Define, monitor, and report on lifecycle marketing KPIs: including open rates, click rates, conversion rates, revenue per send, unsubscribe rates, and channel-level contributions to LTV.
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards in Braze and Looker that deliver actionable insights into campaign and flow performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews at both send and flow levels, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing improvements.
• Present lifecycle marketing performance and strategic suggestions to the Head of Digital Experience and the wider marketing leadership team.
• Collaborate with Creative to develop email and SMS templates that ensure brand consistency while enhancing performance.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define event tracking requirements and ensure precise data instrumentation for lifecycle triggers.
• Work alongside Paid Media and Growth teams to synchronize acquisition messaging with lifecycle nurture sequences.
• Coordinate with Customer Success and Clinical teams to guarantee that operational communications reflect current protocols and policies.
• Assist the Head of Digital Experience in crafting the broader digital acquisition and retention strategy.
• 4-6 years of practical experience in lifecycle/CRM marketing with direct responsibility for email and SMS programs in a direct-to-consumer setting.
• In-depth expertise in Braze—you have built Canvas flows from the ground up, crafted complex Liquid logic, managed large-scale deliverability, and structured campaign taxonomies to keep a growing messaging program organized.
• Experience in integrating a CDP (Segment preferred) with Braze, including designing event schemas, mapping custom attributes, and managing real-time data flow.
• Proven capability to manage both marketing broadcast and transactional/operational messaging programs within a unified platform.
• Strong understanding of email deliverability: including IP warming, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), managing sender reputation, and inbox placement strategies.
• Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing techniques for optimizing email and SMS campaigns.
• Proficiency in Looker, Google Analytics, or similar analytics tools for creating lifecycle reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into actionable optimization strategies.
• Excellent copywriting skills—you know how to craft compelling subject lines and CTAs, and can write or edit as necessary.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for writing and refining messaging copy, assessing campaign effectiveness, generating test variants, and enhancing creative output across email and SMS initiatives.
• Experience in health, wellness, telehealth, or subscription commerce is a significant advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
