This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Develop and implement a thorough email and SMS content strategy for all Blueroot Health brands, aligned with goals for acquisition, retention, and revenue.
• Manage the editorial calendar for lifecycle communications, encompassing campaigns, automated flows, transactional messages, and SMS dispatches.
• Craft engaging, on-brand email and SMS content—including subject lines, preview text, body text, and CTAs—tailored to each brand's identity and audience.
• Design and execute automated flows such as welcome series, abandoned cart and browse recovery, post-purchase, win-back, replenishment, and cross-sell journeys.
• Plan and carry out SMS campaigns and automations while ensuring compliance with TCPA, CTIA, and carrier regulations, including list growth, consent management, and quiet hours.
• Create and refine audience segments utilizing behavioral, transactional, and profile data to provide relevant, personalized content at scale.
• Conduct ongoing testing programs (A/B and multivariate) across subject lines, content, send times, offers, and channel mix; document findings and apply insights throughout the program.
• Analyze and report on channel performance through KPIs such as open rate, CTR, conversion rate, revenue per recipient, list growth, unsubscribe and spam rates, as well as SMS-specific metrics (opt-in rate, CTR, revenue per send).
• Provide regular performance updates to the Director of Marketing Communications, including clear insights and suggested next steps.
• Oversee email deliverability aspects—sender reputation, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), list hygiene, and inbox placement.
• Ensure all communications adhere to GDPR, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with design, brand, e-commerce, and customer service teams to synchronize messaging, creative, and offers across various touchpoints.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor initiatives, and emerging best practices in email and SMS, and provide recommendations accordingly.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in email marketing, including a minimum of 2 years focused on SMS or broader lifecycle marketing.
• Advanced proficiency in Klaviyo and HubSpot; experience with an SMS platform like Attentive, Postscript, or Klaviyo SMS.
• Demonstrated copywriting abilities with a portfolio showcasing email and SMS work that produced measurable results.
• Strong HTML coding skills for the development and troubleshooting of email templates.
• Proven experience in crafting segmentation strategies, automated flows, and drip programs from the ground up.
• Comprehensive understanding of email deliverability (authentication, reputation, list hygiene) and SMS compliance (TCPA, CTIA, carrier filtering).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; comfortable extracting, interpreting, and presenting performance data.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strategic thinking, and capability to manage multiple brands and priorities in a dynamic environment.
