Licensing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the daily operations of the Licensing Department.

• Ensuring adherence to both state and federal licensing regulations for mortgage loan originators (MLOs).

• Supervising the prompt submission and upkeep of licensing applications, renewals, and regulatory filings via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

• Keeping precise licensing records and tracking updates in regulations.

• Assisting with compliance related to all necessary licensing standards and providing support to the Legal and Compliance Departments for research, reporting, and special projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in a position that involves managing sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

• Background in working with state and federal mortgage licensing criteria and regulatory submissions.

• Familiarity with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is preferred.

• Experience in the mortgage industry is advantageous, especially in compliance, licensing, or regulatory matters.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

• Capability to interpret and implement mortgage licensing regulations across various states.

• Strong data entry and record-keeping abilities to ensure the accuracy and compliance of licensing information.
