This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Conducts comprehensive research on licensing requirements and regulations for financial services pertinent to clients' industries; prior experience with research on lending and money transmission licensing requirements is preferred.
• Works in partnership with attorneys and clients to formulate effective regulatory and licensing strategies.
• Offers strategic guidance on maximizing licensing prospects and minimizing potential risks.
• Prepares, reviews, and submits licensing applications, ensuring they are accurate and complete.
• Coordinates with relevant authorities to facilitate the application process and addresses any inquiries.
• Acts as the primary liaison for clients concerning licensing issues.
• Keeps clients informed about their licensing application status and provides prompt updates.
• Develops and implements systems to track and manage renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Maintains and organizes accurate records, submissions, and correspondence related to all licensing documents.
• Prepares regulatory reports for clients and internal teams as necessary.
• Cultivates relationships with attorneys, as well as state and federal regulators, and responds promptly to regulatory requests.
• Supports other departmental activities as needed and undertakes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Law, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a Licensing Specialist or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
• Comprehensive understanding of intellectual property laws and licensing regulations.
• An advanced degree or certification in Intellectual Property Law is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional computer skills with the capability to quickly learn new software applications.
• Experience utilizing firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to assist professional and managerial tasks, exercising judgment to validate outputs and maintain accountability for final deliverables.
