Licensed Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and expand the clinical presence of Backpack Healthcare in Illinois.

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, young adults, and families via secure telehealth.

• Perform clinical intakes and create personalized, trauma-informed treatment plans.

• Provide therapy services on an individual, family, and group basis.

• Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

• Offer family education and coordinate care effectively.

• Ensure timely and precise documentation within the EHR system.

• Foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.

• Provide culturally responsive care tailored to diverse populations.

• Manage approximately 15–36 therapy sessions weekly based on your schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Illinois license: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.

• Experience in working with children, adolescents, and families.

• Ability to operate independently in a remote setting.

• Strong skills in clinical judgment, communication, and documentation.

• Dedication to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care practices.

• Proficiency with technology and virtual clinical platforms.

• Bilingual clinicians in English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply (this is a bonus, not a requirement).

• Availability during weekday afternoons/evenings, typically from 2–9 PM; weekend availability is an advantage.
