This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Respond to incoming warm leads from prospective members interested in pet insurance policies.
• Employ a consultative approach to assess member needs and customize insurance solutions accordingly.
• Highlight the advantages of Trupanion pet insurance policies, focusing on benefits rather than cost.
• Maintain control of the conversation and steer discussions towards successful enrollments.
• Clarify policies and coverage options while addressing any questions or objections from members.
• Accurately enroll pets in policies and record all necessary information.
• Act as a point of contact for existing members to address policy-related inquiries.
• Offer guidance to ensure satisfaction among current members.
• Handle cancellation requests, understand member concerns, explore alternatives, and aim for retention.
• Communicate with members via phone and email, tailoring communication styles to their preferences.
• Navigate complex scenarios and manage escalations effectively.
• Support both current and prospective members at Trupanion, a provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs.
• Valid AMF-approved General Damage Insurance Level 1 or Personal Damage Insurance Level 1 license.
• Licensed to sell insurance in Québec and the province of residence.
• Proficient in both English and French.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• At least 2 years of experience in a sales or customer service capacity.
• Prior experience in a bilingual sales/customer service environment.
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding service.
• Capacity to adapt to a variety of member needs and preferences.
• Goal-oriented attitude aimed at achieving and exceeding sales objectives.
• Availability on weekends is a must.
• Must be able to adhere to the training schedule from Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, for a minimum of the first 12 weeks.
• Flexibility to work shifts starting as early as 8:30 a.m. ET following training.
