Insurance Sales Agent, Quebec – Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage with potential members interested in pet insurance policies

• Employ a consultative technique to comprehend each member’s distinct needs and customize insurance solutions accordingly

• Highlight the value of Trupanion’s pet insurance policies, focusing on benefits rather than pricing

• Maintain control of calls and steer discussions towards enrollment

• Provide comprehensive information regarding policies and coverage options

• Address inquiries and objections from members

• Accurately enroll pets in insurance policies and document all necessary information

• Act as the primary contact point for existing members

• Respond to policy inquiries, offer guidance, and ensure member satisfaction

• Process cancellation requests while understanding members’ concerns

• Explore alternative solutions and make efforts to retain members

• Communicate with members via phone and email, adjusting communication style to suit their preferences

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in a sales and/or customer service position

• Prior experience in a bilingual sales or customer service role

• An active AMF-approved Level 1 Damage Insurance or Level 1 Personal Lines Damage Insurance license

• Licensed to sell insurance in Quebec as well as in the province of current residence

• Proficiency in both English and French, with the ability to switch effortlessly between the two

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French

• Capacity to adapt to the varied needs and preferences of members

• Goal-oriented attitude focused on achieving and surpassing sales targets

• Ability to adjust to changing situations and create innovative solutions

• Strong active listening skills and the ability to articulate solutions in multiple ways

• Capability to manage relationships with empathy and understanding

• Self-awareness and ability to cope with stressful situations or challenging circumstances

• Availability Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET for a minimum of the first 12 weeks of training

• Availability for shifts that may begin as early as 8:30 a.m. ET post-training
