This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze denied insurance claims

• Evaluate patients' medical records

• Formulate strategies to overturn claim denials

• Draft written appeals

• Oversee and streamline the appeal workflow in alignment with internal, client, and insurance deadlines

• Handle, safeguard, and disclose patients' protected health information in full compliance with HIPAA regulations

• Adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures

• Limit access to protected health information to the minimum necessary

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

• Must possess an active license as a Physician's Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or a comparable professional license

• Capability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines

• Proficient with technology and able to quickly adapt to new software

• Strong reading comprehension and ability to interpret medical information and terminology

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills; capable of exercising sound judgment and making informed decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• High integrity and reliability, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and focus on results

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Friendly and welcoming demeanor for customer service interactions

• Smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security measures
