License-Eligible Therapist/Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct individual tele-therapy sessions for K–12 students referred by participating educational institutions.

• Employ short-term, evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.

• Address a variety of issues including anxiety, grief, trauma, academic stress, and conflicts within families or peer groups.

• Offer services to a diverse range of student populations, including multilingual learners and those lacking insurance coverage.

• Collaborate with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrative teams.

• Participate in family outreach when suitable to support continuity of care.

• Complete all clinical documentation (intake, progress, and discharge notes) within 48 hours.

• Ensure adherence to all licensure board requirements, HIPAA, FERPA, and program-specific regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensure-eligible in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or a comparable credential.

• At least 1 year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, or school-aged youth.

• Previous experience in school-based therapy, community mental health, or tele-health is preferred.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and crisis response is advantageous.

• Expertise in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, solution-focused, narrative therapy).

• Strong skills in time management, organization, and documentation.

• Dedication to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care.

• Self-motivated with a strong virtual presence and professionalism in remote environments.
