This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +3 more countries.
• Take ownership of and lead the worldwide implementation of Cimatron’s established software license compliance initiative.
• Identify the regions for activation, establish the sequence of deployment, and determine the rollout speed.
• Evaluate regions based on factors such as piracy risk, market maturity, legal enforceability, and commercial sensitivity.
• Tailor program frameworks and enforcement protocols to align with local legal conditions, business practices, and the requirements of regional Sales Teams.
• Disseminate regional insights, best practices, and program findings across various business units.
• Oversee the license compliance case pipeline, managing it from identification through to resolution in activated regions.
• Investigate cases of suspected software piracy and unauthorized use of Cimatron products.
• Implement regional enforcement strategies utilizing self-service recovery tools, direct engagement, and external enforcement services.
• Enhance and maintain program tools, workflows, and standards for case resolution.
• Keep abreast of global software piracy and IP enforcement trends to refine deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with regional Sales Teams to synchronize enforcement strategies and pinpoint non-compliance hotspots.
• Create and conduct compliance training for Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams.
• Partner with the BA General Counsel and external legal advisers on legal actions, lawsuits, settlements, and fee negotiations.
• Cultivate relationships with channel partners and resellers concerning Cimatron’s licensing terms.
• Provide rollout updates and compliance performance dashboards to the Cimatron General Manager, regional Sales leadership, and BA General Counsel.
• Communicate deployment decisions, compliance risks, case pipeline status, and enforcement trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Monitor cases initiated, progressed, and resolved; revenue recovered; and the conversion of non-compliant users to licensed customers.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Administration, Law, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in software license compliance, intellectual property enforcement, or a closely related area within a software or technology company.
• Proven experience in deploying or scaling compliance, operational, or go-to-market programs across various geographies, including managing decisions on regional prioritization and sequencing.
• A demonstrated history of managing compliance enforcement cases from start to finish, including legal coordination, settlement negotiations, and recovery efforts.
• Experience collaborating with regional Sales organizations to integrate compliance activities and translate enforcement outcomes into business results.
• Knowledge of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, floating, network licenses) and their enforcement implications across different legal jurisdictions.
• Understanding of intellectual property law and software copyright principles across various jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, customer databases, order entry portals, and license tracking or audit tools.
• Strong analytical skills, including regional performance analysis and compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with case management platforms and compliance tracking tools.
• Strategic judgment and a focus on execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• High level of cross-cultural awareness and adaptability.
• Capable of working independently in a global, matrixed organization while managing multiple regional workstreams at once.
