Liability Claims Examiner – General Liability, Bodily Injury, Property Damage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate liability claims for a dedicated client with capped caseloads to ascertain benefits owed

• Ensure continuous adjudication of claims in line with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards

• Analyze and process claims via action plans to achieve timely resolutions

• Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure

• Negotiate claim settlements within the assigned authority

• Communicate claim status and processing updates to claimants and clients

• Report claims to the excess carrier and address requests for guidance

• Provide support across nationwide jurisdictions with a primary focus on CA, FL, and NY

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in claims management or a relevant combination of education and experience required

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred

• Knowledge of nationwide jurisdictions, particularly CA, FL & NY

• Required licensure

• Proficiency in analyzing and processing liability claims

• Capability to investigate and gather information to evaluate claim exposure

• Skill in negotiating claim settlements within designated authority

• Ability to communicate claim status and processing with claimants and clients

• Competence in reporting claims to the excess carrier and addressing requests for guidance

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills

• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting capabilities, problem-solving skills, and discretion

• Capacity to manage work-related stress and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient keyboarding skills
