Leveraged Finance Banking Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of structured finance and leveraged finance transactions from the signing phase to closing.

• Aid in the preparation, review, and management of transaction documentation.

• Coordinate transaction processes and oversee critical workstreams involving multiple stakeholders.

• Create and maintain transaction checklists, conditions precedent trackers, closing agendas, and execution documents.

• Oversee the signing and closing procedures, ensuring that transaction milestones are achieved.

• Act as a liaison between clients, lenders, borrowers, trustees, financial institutions, and external advisors.

• Monitor transaction schedules and escalate any issues that could impact delivery deadlines.

• Manage post-completion requirements, including filing obligations and maintaining transaction records.

• Provide regular updates on transaction status to lawyers and other relevant stakeholders.

• Perform additional tasks as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• LPC, SQE, law degree, or an equivalent legal qualification, including qualifications from foreign jurisdictions.

• Prior experience in supporting complex financing transactions, such as structured finance, leveraged finance, banking, or other debt-related transactions.

• Strong comprehension of transaction lifecycles, legal documentation, and deal execution processes.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active transactions concurrently.

• Capability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced transactional environment.

• A proactive and resilient mindset, maintaining composure and effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication.

• Experience in liaising with lawyers, clients, financial institutions, and external advisors.

• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary, including overlap with Asia-Pacific time zones.

• Highly detail-oriented, with a strong dedication to quality and client service.
