Level 2 NOC Systems Administrator – Windows Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Manages Windows development, testing, and production servers, which includes reloading, re-imaging, applying patches, configuring GPOs, and hardening operating systems.

• Identifies and resolves intricate issues related to Windows OS, Active Directory, and server connectivity.

• Conducts daily monitoring of Windows systems, services, and overall performance; takes proactive measures for remediation.

• Installs, uninstalls, and upgrades software packages and agents based on Windows.

• Oversees the resolution of Level 2 Windows-related tickets, including performing root cause analysis.

• Delivers system evaluation reports and contributes to operational recommendations for Windows environments.

• Maintains system records, ensures compliance with licensing, and keeps accurate configuration data for Windows assets.

• Develops runbooks and how-to guides; provides training for Level 1 analysts on Windows procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BA/BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Extensive experience in Windows troubleshooting and server administration.

• Capability to support 24×7 operations and participate in rotating shifts.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of the U.S.

• Possessing Linux credentials is a plus if allowed.
