This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Oversee attorney calendars, arrange consultations, depositions, court appearances, and internal meetings.
• Manage a high volume of emails and correspondence for attorneys, ensuring prompt and professional replies.
• Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, letters, and forms as instructed by attorneys.
• Organize and maintain digital client files and case records within the firm's case management system.
• Assist with client follow-ups, reminders, and general communication throughout the case lifecycle.
• Aid billing and timekeeping processes by tracking attorney hours and preparing invoices.
• Conduct basic legal research and compile information as directed by supervising attorneys.
• Collaborate with courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to secure documents and confirmations.
• At least 2 years of experience as a legal virtual assistant, legal secretary, or legal administrative assistant.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and general law firm operations.
• Exceptional written and verbal English skills with a refined, professional communication style.
• Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High degree of discretion and confidentiality when managing sensitive client and case information.
• Previous remote work experience is essential, along with fluency in remote collaboration tools and platforms (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and ideally, experience with US or UK-based law firms. Applications lacking this experience will not be considered.
