Legal Specialist, Business Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Provide daily legal assistance to commercial, marketing, and functional teams.

• Convert legal requirements into actionable business guidance.

• Evaluate routine commercial and operational issues, identifying legal and compliance risks.

• Aid in marketing and claims review activities alongside Regulatory, Quality, Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Compliance partners.

• Assist with matters related to contracting and promote efficient execution.

• Maintain and improve legal processes, templates, and guidance materials.

• Provide training and support on legal processes, claims, and marketing and promotional legal concepts.

• Support attorneys in the Dental Solutions and Health Information Systems sectors.

• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Compliance teams.

• Manage multiple workflows and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of legal processes and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher, or a diploma/professional certification in Paralegal Studies or a related field.

• At least seven (7) years of experience in a legal, compliance, regulatory, contracts, or corporate legal support environment.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a legal specialist, senior paralegal, or similar legal support position.

• Experience in supporting claims reviews, marketing evaluations, contract administration, or operational legal procedures.

• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries is preferred.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities.

• Knowledge of claims substantiation, regulatory review workflows, or quality/compliance processes.

• Experience in creating training materials, guidance documents, or standardized legal processes.

• Capacity to identify, evaluate, and appropriately escalate legal and compliance risks.

• Experience collaborating with attorneys and cross-functional partners in complex, regulated environments.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring visa sponsorship.
