This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Examine and interpret published judicial opinions from both state and federal levels.
• Assess the outputs produced by AI tools and confirm their accuracy against original legal documents.
• Utilize your legal research expertise to spot mistakes, unclear points, or exceptional cases in automated results.
• Work alongside legal researchers and machine learning engineers to enhance data quality over time.
• Currently a 2L or 3L student at the University of Chicago Law School, Northwestern, or Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
• Completion of at least the first-year curriculum, including courses in legal research and writing.
• Passion for reading and analyzing judicial opinions, statutes, and other legal references.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a solid understanding of legal writing. An interest in legal technology or AI is a plus.
