Legal Research Associate, JD Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough legal research and analysis to assist with TRACE presentations and publications.

• Create legal content and conduct quality assurance checks for course outlines, slides, training materials, compliance guides, newsletters, blog posts, white papers, essays, podcast materials, webinar outlines, and more.

• Act as a compliance subject matter expert on issues pertinent to TRACE.

• Oversee TRACE’s Resource Center, which includes primary management of the Tizra platform, content lifecycle oversight, platform redesign, and analytics to evaluate the usage of Resource Center materials.

• Manage relationships with Partner Law Firms and coordinate material collection.

• Collaborate proactively across teams to identify emerging compliance content requirements and provide insights on strategic resource development.

• Edit and proofread external contributor blog submissions to ensure they meet TRACE standards.

• Assist with TRACE event programming, including developing substantive agendas, identifying and inviting speakers, facilitating panel discussions, posting on social media during events, and leading webinars.

• Provide support to the TRACE President on board-related issues.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned, which may be adjusted to meet business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited institution is required.

• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience, ideally within a law firm or corporate environment.

• Exceptional writing and analytical capabilities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects simultaneously as a self-starter.
